Hello Everybody, a couple of us are trying to organize a "Fall Ride", on September 26,2010.  The ride would be about 120km/75 miles.  We are currently lookin at starting at a lodge about 1 hour south of Thunder Bay.  The Lodge offers cabins/campground,gas, a small convience store, boat/motor rental.  I belive there might even be a resturant.  I know it is short notice that is why i am trying to get some informtion out there.  I hope to have more information to post soon.

we are open to any and all suggestions.

Outlandish, I can't seem to look at your attachment. It is very appreciated that you posted an image. I am still usless with a computers. I am just waiting for Neeje to come home from southern ontario. He has the absolute particulars of what is going on. We have only discussed this, through texting. I am just trying to get the information out there, so that people can start planning if they are interested in coming to the ride. Again thanks for the help.

LOL you are good! That is amazing on the detective work. That is close. We are looking at Remicks landing/Ryans Lodge. Thanks again. To get there you would take hwy 593 it is all freshly paved. then turn down 588

We have got the finalized date for the ride.  Due to possible conflict with another possible ride, and availability of some key folks, we are having it on Sunday, Sept. 26. Mark it on your calanders.  We will be leaving from either Ryan's Lodge, or Gravel Lakes Cabins (same owner, and very close together).

We have a few details to work out with the trail, but a pre-ride in a week or so we will get it straight.  It will likely be a bring your own picnic lunch.  There will be a pre-start meeting just to inform all of the plan and up date a couple local laws.  Nothing too difficult.  As was with the spring ride - no alcoholic beverages allowed on the trip.

We have some sponsers interested in getting involved, and that is good.  More on the sponsers as we get the information.

Ryan's have cabins and camping for those wishing to travel from out of town.

More info soon.

Some more info on the Thunder Bay Fall Ride... we will be starting at Gravel Lakes Cabins.  Gravel Lakes Cabins is located near the West end of Hwy. 588, about 19 km. West of the Hwy. 593 junction, or about 53 km. from Kakabeka Falls.  From Kakabeka Falls - take Hwy. 590 to the end (Hwy 588) turn West onto Hwy 588 for about 27 km. There is lots of room, great food (breakfast if you want) gas, and some cabins if any one is interested. Camping is also available. We are looking at a chilli dinner on our return - more on that soon.

We are talking to the local dealers, and we may likely see them out with demo rides for the day.  Wanna try a new one - come on out and give it a try.  More on this soon.

The trail scouts have a great trail lined up.  They cut a pass around a big swamp (some may want to try the swamp, and there are a lot us us with winches to help you get through).  This ride will be one of the most beautiful trails around.  Fantastic high vistas, great lakes, and nice roads and trails.  This one will not have the amount of mud the Spring ride had, but there is still some.

We will be having a picnic lunch on the trail - so pack a lunch (remember no alcoholic drinks).  Don't count on a fire for lunch - but we may be able to, depending on the time.

We are trying to get a number of attendies for this, so if you are thinking on attending - please get on this site and let us know.

North Superior Tourism is very intreested in getting ATV's involved with tourism, and they have contacted the dealers.  I am sure all of them will be talking to.  I know nonstuck talked to Gordon's and got a good response.  Hopefully they all will show up with something.

We rented a cabin at Ryans Lodge for saturday to Sunday for the ride. They have both cabins and camp sites available if anyone is interested 933-5034 area code(807). The cabins include everything but food, toothbrushes you know those personal items.
