Was a good ride. 10 hours and lots of mud....great turnout. There were about 27 wheelers there. Thanks to Neeje, Kesa, Nostuck and anyone else involved for putting this ride together. Nice meeting you guys I haven't met before...website will be coming soon.....anyone with pics please email them to me for the web page. bombrider@gmail.com

OK I'm exhausted.....must be old age, lack of sleep and being totally out of shape LOL

Well that was a ride of rides.  With a record breaking 27 machines, (some from Manitoba and Minnisota), we looked like a long snake winding through the streets of Kakabeka Falls and onto the highway on our way to the trail.

We all followed all the municipal rules, and didn't offend anyone - perfect

Other than a couple machine issues - overheating, big stick through a tire early in the day, there were no injuries, no quads left in the bush, all made it back but one Polaris running a bit too hot (left at a gas station on highway).  A big thanks to Nostuck for waiting patiently with the flat tire folks.  With a tire delivered from town, they were on their way after a bit, and Nostuck lead them through the whole route, just about 1.5 hours behind the rest of us.

With the extraordinarily dry weather, the gravel roads and trails were dusty to say the least, and even some of the old mud holes were dry enough to be dusty.  Fortunatly there was enough mud for almost everyone to get stuck at one time or another.  Several winches got a good workout.

The Kakabeka Falls Hotel was true to their reputation, and had a great chilli feast ready for us when we returned.  And the much needed beer was wet and cold!!!!!!  There is something about the ability of a cold beer to wash out the dust in your thoat.

Here's to next year's ride, hoping for another adventure.

Neeje
